Shenzhen Bay Laboratory (SZBL) held the 2019 annual meeting on January 16, 2020 at the Shenzhen Institute of Talent Development. Laboratory leadership including WU Yun-Dong, TU Huan and ZHANG Xinhao attended the meeting. The annual meeting gathered SZBL scientists, researchers and staff around to bring back the inspiring moments and extend wishes to the new year.

WU Yun-Dong, Executive Vice Director of SZBL and member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered annual message at the beginning of the meeting. He recapped on the progresses made by SZBL over the year of 2019 in management mechanism, collaboration mode, research project and talent acquisition. He said that to pursue better development we should take a forward-looking perspective and be critical to conventional ones that may considered out of our times. In the new year ahead, our laboratory would actively participate in the frontier development of global science, WU continued to say. After the speech, the laboratory’s outstanding staff of the year were awarded with prizes in commendation for their dedicated services to the laboratory.

On the annual meeting, there also were SZBL researchers and administrative staff presenting wonderful performances to celebrate the 1st anniversary of SZBL.
