On December 11, 2022, the Institute of Cancer Research held the 2022 Year-end Summary Meeting (Annual Academic Meeting). More than 80 people, including all the Principal Investigators and other researchers attended the meeting which was presided over by Sun Kun and Lu Changzheng, Junior PIs of the Institute. In the meeting, each research team reported the academic progress and introduced the work plan of the next year.

At the beginning of the meeting, Shen Xuetong (Senior Principal Investigator), Deputy Director of the Institute, expressed his welcome to the PIs and researchers attending the meeting. He said, since its establishment, the Institute has published many high-level journal papers in authoritative journals such as Cell and Nature Cancer, received approval for 14 national and provincial projects, and successfully held ICR Symposium. These achievements owed to the joint efforts of all colleagues. She hoped that this meeting would strengthen the academic exchanges among research teams to promote the Institute to be an international cutting-edge cancer research institute.

Subsequently, 12 research groups of the Institute introduced the progress of this year’s work and the construction progress of the laboratory respectively.

The annual academic meeting aims to review the scientific research progress made in 2022, facilitate the research groups to actively carry out academic exchanges, and jointly promote the Institute of Cancer Research into a new stage of development.
