On December 10th, 2022, the Institute of Biomedical Engineering of Shenzhen Bay Laboratory (SZBL) held the 2nd Shenzhen Bay PET Molecular Imaging Technology and Clinical Application Forum in Year 2022, and the well-known scholars, medical experts and technical experts in China and abroad were invited to give special reports. The forum focused on PET molecular imaging technology and its clinical application, and it was attended by more than 150 people online and offline, including 14 senior investigators making academic reports. Professor Ren Qiushi, Convenor of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, attended the forum. Peng Qiyu, senior PI and Deputy Director of Institute of Biomedical Engineering, and Yang Yongfeng, PI from Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences presided over the forum. Hu Zhanli (PI), Liu Zheng (Associate PI) from Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Guo Tengfei (PI), Gu Zheng (PI) and Xie Siwei (Associate PI) from SZBL made report respectively.

Experts and scholars in the field of PET technology and clinical application gathered in this forum to discuss molecular imaging and its clinical application, exchange the latest ideas and views in related fields, and light up the flame of innovate thinking. The forum aims to respond to the call of the state, actively meet the needs of the national health-care industry, strengthen the leadership of innovation based on the development opportunities and the existing foundation of industrialization development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, promote the combination of disciplinary development and industry, and build a high-level academic exchange platform.
