On August 26,a seminar on brain sciences and frontier innovation was held between Shenzhen Bay Laboratory (SZBL) andtheBrain Cognition and Brain Disease Institute ofthe Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology(SIAT). The seminar invited prestigious scientists as well as research management professionals to present reports to more than 100 participants attending online and offline.

Wang Yutian, Fellow of the Royal Canadian Academy of Sciences and Dean of School of Life Sciences of Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology; Wang Liping, Director of the Brain Cognition and Brain Disease Institute; Xu Fuqiang, investigator from the Brain Cognition and Brain Disease Institute; Cao Yang, Deputy Director of the SZBL Office for Research, as well as other SZBL representative investigators from SZBL attended the seminar.

Cao Yang introduced the overall developments of SZBL. She pointed out the distinctive strengths of SZBL in promoting cross-discipline mechanism to enhance the role of frontier technology in challenging major diseases.

Wang Liping shared the importance of th C3-T3 concept in creating the ecosystem for brain science andbrain-inspired intelligence industry. He also proposed to form partnerships that focuses on addressing big questions in brain sciences.

Scientists from both sides gave presentations to further exchange on topics regarding neurological mechanism and disorder as well as brain science.After the presentation and discussion, the two sides held meeting to discuss further promoting cooperation in brain science on a long term basis.
