On June 8, a group of SZBL scientists and researchers visited the Mindray headquarter in Nanshan, Shenzhen, as an effort to enhance connection and communication with the medical instrumentation industry. The SZBL delegates visited the Mindray exhibition hall, where they were given a briefing on the development and running of the company.

After an company tour learning about the production lines and some of the advanced medical instruments, the delegates met with company representatives and exchanged views on research and industry cooperation. Mao Weiming, Mindray’s Head of Public Relations, said that the company has been committed to the role as a leading developer and manufacturer of medical devices. Over the years, the company has fostered a open and collaborative culture and and already had existing partners in different sectors like the higher education, research institutes and hospitals. SZBL delegates including Zhou Yaoqi, Peng Qin, Gu Zheng, Xie Siwei, Zhan Lingpeng and Tan Minjie, introduced individual research areas and discussed with company representatives on medical imaging, MRI, CT, mass spectrometry and so on. The meeting further explored new approaches on cross-sector cooperation for the research community and the industry.

This visiting event was organized by the Guangming Science City Science Technology Innovation Association, aiming to promote industrial connection and cooperation among local universities, research institutes and industrial enterprises.
