October 11, Shenzhen Bay Laboratory (SZBL) welcomed a delegation from Ji Nan Science & Technology Bureau. The delegation was led by GAO Dongmei, Director General and Party Leadership Group Deputy Secretary of the Ji Nan Science & Technology Bureau. TU Huan, Vice Chancellor of the Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School and Vice Dean to the Shenzhen Institute of Health Sciences received and met with the delegation.

The delegates received a briefing about the development of SZBL, which focusing on the laboratory’s mission to absorb high-end talents, support national strategic deployment, and power the growth of biomedical sector with the Greater Bay Area.

TU Huan shared with the delegation on the laboratory’s practice on promoting research originality and building shared innovative platform. She also spoke about how the laboratory engages its mission with the Healthy China Outline and the growth of the Greater Bay Area.

The delegation was very impressed by the efforts and progresses of SZBL. Opinions on development model, talent absorption, research input, lab construction and so forth were further exchanged during the meeting.

The delegates were took to a tour around SZBL exhibition hall as the last stop of their visit.
