The 2018-2019 Annual Conference on Top 10 Scientific Advances in Life Science Advances of China was held at the International Conference Hall of the Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School on June 1, 2019, Shenzhen, Guangdong. The Conference was co-organized by the China Union of Life Science Societies(CULSS), Shenzhen Bay Laboratory(SZBL), Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School(PKUSZ), The Science, Technology and Innovation Commission of Shenzhen Municipality and the Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology.
This annual scientific exchanges received more than 500 participants in the one-day gathering. Guests attending the conference were KANG Le, the President of CULSS and CAS member; ZHAN Qimin, Executive Vice President of PKU, Director of SZBL,Chancellor of PKUSZ and CAE member; MENG Anming, CAS member; ZHAO Jizong, CAS member; WU Yun-Dong, CAS member; BAI Xi, Director of the Department of Research and Publicity of CULSS; TANG Yi, Counselor of Guangdong Science and Technology Association; JIANG Yuyang, Vice-chairman of Shenzhen Municipal of People’s Congress and Chairman of Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology. ZHAN Qimin delivered opening remarks for the Conference. WANG Xiaoning, Secretary-general of the CULSS chaired the session.

After the awarding ceremony, the recipient representatives were invited to give talks regarding their ground-breaking research. Teenager audience from local, experts, researchers and the media listened the talks and interacted with the speakers.
This annual conference received supportive organization from the Shenzhen Bay Laboratory and Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School. The Shenzhen Bay Laboratory is a newly-established Guangdong Provincial Laboratory jointly launched by Shenzhen City and PKUSZ. The Lab works in partnership with advanced institutes in the field of life sciences across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. SZBL aspires to be a global-leading research institute in health sciences and biomedical innovation.
