Dr. Zhixuan Wang (2024 "Fenji Postdoc") from the Institute of Systems and Physical Biology, Shenzhen Bay Laboratory, has been awarded two national honors in a row - 2025 Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program and the 77th China Postdoctoral Science Foundation General Funding.

ThePostdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Programis a national key program for cultivating high-level young scientific and technological talents, which focuses on the major strategic needs of the country, and the competition is fierce, with only 500 places available in 2025. “The program has become an important platform for training young scientific and technological leaders in China, and is known as the ”cradle of young scientific and technological talents".

Dr. Zhixuan Wang joined SBL in July 2024 as a postdoctoral fellow under the supervision of Senior PI Dr. Yaoqi Zhou. Dr. Wang is currently focusing on the structure and function of non-coding RNAs and retrotransposon RNAs, and has published papers inNature Geneticsas co-first author, and has been selected as a Shenzhen Bay Laboratory "Fenji Postdoc"in the second half of 2024.
