On July 23rd, the signing ceremony of the student internship practice base between Shenzhen Medical Academy of Research and Translation (SMART), Shenzhen Bay Laboratory (SZBL) and Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) was held in Shenzhen Bay Laboratory. This cooperation signifies that the three parties will work together to open a deep integration in the field of biomedicine, and jointly promote scientific research innovation and results transformation, injecting new momentum for the high-quality development of life and health field.

HuanTu, Vice President ofSMARTand Deputy Director of SZBL, and PenfengLiu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Life Sciences and Technology, HUST, delivered speeches and witnessed this important moment together. Yanzhuang Wang, Director of Graduate Office of SMART, and JianfengLiu, Dean ofthe College of Life Sciences and Technology, HUST, attended the signing ceremony. Yanzhuang Wang and Jianfeng Liu signed the “Agreement on the Co-construction of Student Internship and Practice Base ofHuazhong University of Science and Technology-Shenzhen Medical Academy of Research and Translation-Shenzhen Bay Laboratory”.

According to the agreement, the three parties will uphold the principle of “research and study, complement each other's strengths, resource sharing, win-win cooperation”, establish a sound cooperation mechanism, give full play to their respective strengths, and carry out in-depth cooperation around the base of co-construction and division of responsibilities, internship security and safety management, educational standards and accountability mechanisms, cooperation and support and resource sharing.

In the presence of all participants, JianfengLiu, Dean ofthe College of Life Sciences and Technology, HUST,and Yanzhuang Wang,Director of Graduate Office of SMART, completed the awarding ceremony, marking that the tripartite cooperation has entered the practical stage.
