The 19th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (CIEP) was successfully held on April 24 and 25 in the Convention and Exhibition Center of Shenzhen. SZBLwas invited as a representative institution to the 2021 China IT Industry University-Enterprise Cooperation Conference, a core section of the 19th CIEP, to launch the Computational and Biochemical Software. The software received great attention from more than 100participant universitiesand enterprises.
“IT + BT” Integration - Debut of the Computational and Biochemical Software
The Computational and Biochemical Software launched by SZBL made its first public appearance at the 2021 China IT Industry University-Enterprise Cooperation Conference as a part of demonstrating and sharing scientific progress of high-performance computing software. Recognized as an indispensable tool for research and industrial innovation in 21 century, high-performance computing software is a great scientific delivery achieved through the combination of theories and technological breakthroughs of computational biology and computational chemistry.
Dr. Meiyi Liu from the SZBL Institute of Systems and Physical Biology introduced the development scheme and application of the Computational and Biochemical Software to the conferees. The software is an advanced and innovative core built by SZBL. It will help to develop IP-independent biomedical R&D software and health big data software, as well as providing technological supports for developers and users. The application scope of the Computational and Biochemical Software can span multiple time and space scales from microscopic electronic structure to drug molecule affinity, and extend to genomics and cell regulation mechanisms. The software will lead to the growth of a user community in the Greater Bay Area and even the whole country, creating a base for the development of biomedical computation and medical applications.
2021 China IT Industry University-Enterprise Cooperation Conference is hosted by the Alliance of Demonstrative Software Institute, China International Talent Exchange Foundation, and the Science, Technology and Innovation Commission of Shenzhen Municipality. It aims to strengthen collaborative ties among different universities and enterprises, and attract more technological elites and projects.
Founded in 2001, the Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (the CIEP) has been successfully held for 19 sessions so far. Based on the theme of "innovation, development, cooperation, and win-win", the CIEP has become a national, internationalized and comprehensive exhibition and negotiation occasion for the exchange of international technological innovation talents.
During the 19th CIEP, SZBL participated in the exhibition sector as a representative institution of the Guangming Science City. In addition, a tour to SZBL was organized for more 70 high-level talents, experts and enterprise representatives to reach to the development progress related to science, technology, innovation, facilities in Guangming.
The CIEP has served as an international talent exchange platform for two decades since its first opening. With China's development entering a new phase as it kicks off the 14thFive Year Plan, CIEP is also taking on a higher and more globalized standard to bridge international talents with our country. Having these opportunities in hand, SZBL will continue to aim for development with global benchmarks, create an attractive talent base and power biomedical science and innovation for China.
