
May 9, the Guangming Science City organized a group of talent development experts to come to SZBL for a visit. During the visit, the experts learned about lab construction, research progression, talent absorption and cultivation, and key projects against COVID-19 of SZBL.
The visiting experts were took on a tour to the SZBL exhibition hall where they were given a briefing on the development of the laboratory. The guests highly affirmed the laboratory’s efforts in talent absorption and nurturing. Talents as well as intellectual strengths jointly stimulate the most active and driven momentum in science, technology and innovation; therefore it is crucial for the Guangming Science City as well as SZBL to move ahead with such talent-centered tenet. The experts encouraged that the laboratory continued to pursue its platform-based competitiveness, take advantages of policy supports and seek new approaches in talent absorption, making stronger magnetic effects to attract high-end talents.
The group of experts were invited from a workshop hosted by the Guangming Science City to shed light on talent development issues pertaining to a recent release government plan which says the Guangming Science City will build into a world-class science center with global influence. Pairing with this government plan is the rising importance of intellectual forces to absorb from the scientific community. As a crucial facility that will be based in the Guangming Science City in the future, SZBL undertakes the mission that strongly echoes with the plan, and will empower scientific development through the convening of the world’s most outstanding intellectual vitality to serve local sci-tech demands at best. The laboratory is going to launch a series of online campus recruitment talks as its next step to attract young talented minds, aiming to consolidate and expand an intellectual basis for the future global science hub in Shenzhen.
