May 15, Shenzhen Bay Laboratory (SZBL) held meeting to ensure and enhance work safety management. TU Huan, SZBl Vice Director, CAO Yang, Head of SZBL Office for Research, and other work safety responsible persons from the laboratory attended the meeting.

The meeting studied and communicated on the latest requirements from government ministries regarding work safety management, reviewed recent performance of SZBL on work safety, and deployed work on safety management concerning the upcoming relocation of the laboratory.

TU Huan emphasized on enhancing safety awareness, getting preparedness and ensuring superintendence of safety management for the relocation. SZBL should establish a system for safety management and reinforce investigation on safety issues at regular basis, said TU Huan, who also spoke about conducting safety training and reviews on safety performance.

The meeting was the first formal convening for work safety management at SZBL. The laboratory will hold quarterly meeting to report and discuss safety management, ensuring smooth and safe operation to support the its scientific missions as well as creating safety culture for the whole SZBL community.
